I’m a huge fan of The Ad Council. They’ve helped hundreds of millions of people and millions of animals with their award-winning Public Service Announcements. There’s more than enough room for another organization dedicated to creating beneficial Public Service Announcements – especially regarding topics The Ad Council haven’t addressed.
With that in mind, I founded The AdVenture Partnership (AVP) – Educating, Empowering, Enlightening, Entertaining, and Inspiring Information to Help Humans and Animals. The AVP is a non-partisan group with advisors representing the full spectrum of society and human experience.
As an award-winning copywriter, I’ve written over 50 pro bono PSA video scripts with supplemental online and print versions that have been thoroughly researched and vetted by partners and members of the target audiences for each ad.

Not-for-profit revenue could be raised by (but not limited to):
- Adaptation/expansion from short form to longer mediums, such as comics, graphic novels, TV series, movies and other mass mediums
- Licensing of characters for merchandise and mass mediums
- Merch
- Sponsorships
- Memberships
- Donations (including stock shares from individuals and corporations).
- Investments
- Packaging of PSAs into books and graphic novels.
- Sponsoring of an award for recognizing exceptional humanitarian efforts
- Teaming with corporations (e.g. Dove) for hybrid commercials/PSA – Commercial PSAs
- Providing social entrepreneurship training – classes, webinars, conferences, etc.
- #PSAaDay Blog
- Fundraisers
- No-strings-attached government grants and other private funding sources – that do not cannibalize funding from The Ad Council
- Partnering with a trustworthy and esteemed foundation
- Creating PSA-like ads for-profit companies (corporate PSAs) Forward-thinking Corporations may want to purchase or license a PSA campaign or have one created to sponsor and build good will with customers and potential customers
- Not-for-profits may want to license (given a huge discount) a PSA campaign. Bonus: this will also provide publicity as they will promote AVP
- Becoming a new Care2.com or theanimalrescuesite.com and its sister causes by providing donations per clicks paid for by sponsors advertising their goods and services
Publicity Opportunities
- Celeb and sport stars endorsements that will create a halo affect building interest and promoting AVP
- Partnering with established and launching new talent. This will lead to articles and further publicity
- Awards ceremony and possibly an eventual show for a multitude of categories (mirroring the Golden Globes®), including best overall, and lifetime achievement – called the Golden Heart Award or Silver Halo Award
- Packaging PSA scripts and ad copy into a book and/or graphic novel (libraries could promote especially since couple of PSAs have been written to promote libraries). Celebs and sport stars will also write blurbs for the books
- Promotion by organizations featured in PSAs – including libraries for which I’ve written two PSAs
- Nonprofits may want to license a PSA campaign (given gratis). They will promote AVP
- Online petitions, such as on Care2.com
- Partnering with Care2.com and/or theanimalrescuesite.com and related causes
- Potentially receiving a Guinness Book of World Records honor for writing the most PSAs
